Hello! This is a kind of treasure hunt searching out the images, many on photos and others on prints sold decades ago by Pillsbury.
The entire collection was stolen in 1927 at the same time the Pillsbury Studio was burned by Pillsbury's janitor, Ansel Adams. Over the years, we have come across evidence this was what happened and you can read about this on the Arthur C. Pillsbury Foundation site.
The nearly century of letters showing how a later paid conspirator, Steven Harrison, was outed in ways none of the original conspirators expected. Read that long correspondence over the intervening century at Cover-Up - 1928 - 2024.
